Project update 5 – Beauty on the ROOF!

October 2016 – Our new roof is 99.9 percent complete and does it ever look beautiful! The copper strip capping the roof ridge and copper used in the valleys is both stunning and practical. The shingles have a copper like tone, particularly on those rainy, grey days… not that we’ve had very many of those days in the past month. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and our neighbors from St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Church kindly provided us a delicious and … Continue reading Project Update – 1 – Work Party May 2015

Project Update 2- Foundation work

The foundation first had to be dug out, a tough job, although this shows the “easier” work on the outer edges of the building, in comparison to what had to be done underneath the building, around the support posts. h It was a dirty job, done in September 2015, with weather unlike what’s seen in these photos! There was a lot of rain, though we … Continue reading Project Update 2- Foundation work
